Tivissa Donkeys Firefighters

In Tivissa Donkeys Firefighters (TDFF) we help with the recovery of equids that are subject to abandonment or mistreatment, or whose owners cannot take care of them anymore. We strive to provide them with a dignified life in a herd, assuring they graze freely in large natural spaces. They receive our veterinary support and help with adapting to the rest of the herd and continuing to be part of the Mediterranean culture.

Our donkey brigade helps sustainable forest management through the ecological cleaning of undergrowth. They protect the natural environment from possible fires in a sustainable and environmentally friendly way.

The donkeys contribute to cleaning the biomass of undergrowth and reduce the load on the forest mass, which facilitates extinction works in the event of a fire.
